This was a commission piece for a lady's mother in law. As it was a surprise for Christmas I could not ask her personally for what she would like. So the information I got from the lady who ordered the painting were the following:
She asked me to make a 40x40 cm painting.
Her mother in law loved butterflies and her favourite colour was yellow.
Her home had warm colours in it including orange, brown and yellow.
I kept in contact with the lady throughout the painting process. I've sent her pictures of the base colour, she was very happy with the warmth of the orange. I've sent her pictures of the drawn canvas, she liked the design. I've asked her if there were any specific colours she wanted me to use. She said besides yellow she didn't mind- so I picked out the colours. I wanted the painting to 'pop out' of the wall so I've used bronze around the Mandala. When I was halfway through I've sent her a picture just to make sure she was satisfied with my work. She was happy so I continued dotting. Because I wanted to add something extra to the painting I decided I'd make the outline of the butterflies glow. I've asked if it was ok and the lady was very happy about the idea.
I was very nervous at Christmas time whether her mother in law would like my dot mandala but I shouldn't have worried. She was very surprised she got such a unique and personalized present from her daughter in law and she was absolutely delighted with it. It made me extremely happy!

Quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
'Glow in the dark' paint around butterflies.
The canvas have been sealed professionally with quality gloss varnish.
This is an original product, it is not a print.
Though all efforts have been made to give back the original colours of the dot paintings they may slightly vary due to monitor settings.

While I was making this dot Mandala I was listening to relaxing, calming music to convey a sense of peace and tranquillity. It has been made with a lot of love and positive energy.
Every single dot mandala and dot painting I have made is an original piece. They are made entirely with hundreds and thousands of dots. Each piece comes from the heart.
